That's because hypnosis, and conversational hypnosis in particular carries a lot of power and, while most people only have good intentions it can also be used in a negative manner which is why not everyone should have this knowledge
There have been many great leaders who have employed the use of hypnoses to influence others. Winston Churchill and John F Kennedy where but two of the influential leaders of our times that used conversational hypnosis techniques. But it's not always used for good, as was the case with Adolf Hitler.

Conversational hypnosis can have your boss falling over himself to hand you a bonus and your spouse agreeing with you in every argument. You can even use it to get clients to buy more product and perhaps to persuade your teenage daughter that the new boyfriend that you don't like really isn't right for her. Good things can happen for you when you use hypnosis for positive things.
You don't have to go to years of school to learn how to hypnotize someone - you can learn right in your own home! There is a lot to hypnosis and you can accomplish many great things if you apply the techniques properly and use them always for positive reasons.
